Day 1212
Leaving our Golden Boys for an hour or two is hard enough, but leaving them for a few days is a real challenge! We are at a destination wedding for a very beloved young bride, so the pups are in the very capable hands of my twins. Still…
There have been times in my life when saying goodbye has been nearly impossible. When I left my children at college, hugging “more than precious friends” from Texas as we part or traveling a didtance away from the Big White House…all are a real trial for this heart of mine. I once said goodbye to Mr. Mac in Texas and a Dallas/Fort Worth gate agent brought me an entire box of tissues for my anguish!
Even though it is hard to part from loved ones, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I realize that “parting is such sweet sorrow” because the love we share is so deep and rich. Without the heart connection, we wouldn’t shed a tear and farewells would be so easy!
We will be back before he Goldens really know what happened and the reunion will be amazing! Sammy will cry, Gus will throw himself upside-down at our feet and Ranger will bark for all the treats he missed while we were gone! It will be a true celebration!
