Day 1263

Today was a day when the urge to “gather” was strong. A blustery wind, cooler temperatures and coats that were not quite warm enough guided us inside after a brisk walk with Goldens. Loving this cozy time of year, it seemed to descend upon us before I was prepared. The lovely autumn weather lured us into believing the days would be warm and sunny forever! Surprise! The cold will come no matter what!

There are so many occurrences in life that will surprise us with the speed of delivery. Children growing up, the seasons, a great book and so many more leave a trail of memories that seem to shock us as they pass us by at lightning speed.

The pups could sense the difference as their tail feathers blew in the wind. They looked at the falling leaves and seemed to eventually dismiss them as a nuisance on their path. They accepted the changes surrounding them and focused on sniffing!

One thing we cannot do is slow down time, so we may as well embrace it and enjoy the ride!
