Day 1312

There were so many perfect moments during this Christmas Day. The meals were wonderful, the family love was heartfelt, the presents were beautiful and even the Golden Boys seemed to enjoy every minute! (Sam successfully “borrowed” cousin Bachka’s new toys, so he was happy.). Smiles seemed to be contagious and gratitude was hovering in the air.

Loving this time of year, as I do, it would seem that I am not alone. We often take a drive to see Christmas Lights and it was wonderful to see that there are more and more beautiful homes to enjoy! Christmas cards arrived in abundance and gifts were heartfelt-and meaningful.

Perhaps it is the magic of family gathering together. Maybe, people are a bit more hopeful this time of year. It could be attributed to the beauty of the lights and glorious music. It would seem that people have a need to give back for all the riches they find in their lives. It is evident that hearts are bigger this time of year.

In the quiet times, when the beauty of the lights sparkle, take a moment to breathe in the gift of simply “being." “It’s a beautiful life” and I, for one, am going to give myself the gift of time to sit quietly and be grateful.
