Day 552

It is no secret at our home that I love Christmas! Today, I finished the front entry and had to take a peek at the finished product. Ranger seemed to be a fitting model to add to the festive decorations! Sharing this picture with daughter Katie, her quick response was, "It looks like we live in a Hallmark movie!"

Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel come with the territory here at The Big White House. Of course, every radio within its walls is blaring carols and other holiday songs, but the television is constantly playing Hallmark Christmas movies. I have seen most before, but I watch them again with the same lovely feeling in my heart.

It occurred to me that we DO seem to live in a Hallmark Christmas movie:

*Problems can be solved with enough love and support.
*Two soulmates find one another after life takes a turn.
*Life is simple and pure with a few plot twists here and there.
*There are familiar themes.
*Predictably is comforting.
*Baking is part of life.
*They take place in a quaint, small town.
* There are heartwarming encounters.
*They are family-friendly and wholesome.
*Humor is commonplace.
* Cute kids and dogs are a given.
*Romance abounds.
*Snow is often a backdrop.
*There is a happy ending.

People will often make fun of the simple, predictable plots, but not me!! I don't mind living in a Hallmark movie at all!!! Now, if I could just get some appropriate background music to follow me around, it would be perfect!
