Day 1092

Today was the final Therapy Dog visit at Lincoln Elementary School for the Arts for the school year! Ranger AND Gus were showered with adorable, heartwarming cards! Each written missive was a cherished gift!

Cards are a “dying art” these days! With the advent of cell phones and computers, cards are being replaced by sweet texts, videos and other offerings of thanks. These messages of gratitude are lovely as well, but cards touch my heart in a different way. Perhaps it is because I can actually hold them in my hands and revisit them for years to come.

Cards are still part of the MacKechnie household. Mac loves to send postcards (yes, they still exist) and birthdays, weddings, graduations and other special events are always honored with a card around here. Not only are they fun to send, but delightful to receive!

So, send the videos, the texts, the GIFs and even loving phone calls! Just try to give old-fashioned cards a chance now-and-then! Ranger and Gus would agree!!!!!!!!!
