Day 1093

This “Halo of Goldens” certainly has each other’s backs! If one barks, they all bark! They seriously seem to protect each other!

Thinking about my pups, they are not so different from people in terms of devotion and dedication to each other. It is a beautiful thing to behold with the Goldens and we get to receive the same commitment as ‘part of their pack!’

In my own circle of friendship, there are those who ALWAYS have my back. No matter what is happening, where I am or what I need, these people would be there…I have NO doubt at all! I also know in my heart I would do the same for them.

On one particularly challenging evening, I found myself sinking into sadness during an event for my children. Being a single parent at the time, I decided the best avenue for my kids was to quietly slip away while other family members celebrated together. Avoiding an awkward situation, I went to my car and sat in silence. Suddenly, there was a timid knock on the window and there stood one of my beloved friends… ready with a hug and a tissue. When I asked her how she knew…she told me she was simply drawn to my car. I will never forget the comfort and support she offered. Miss Pinky has ALWAYS had my back and I am beyond grateful…for this sweet friend and others who are always there.

Having such amazing cheerleaders in my life, I always try to pay it forward when others need me! What a privilege to belong to a pack of friends that is always there when you need them most!
