Day 1120

Today, I made one of my “Impossible Lists.” Walking dogs was certainly one I could check off after completion, but accomplishing the entire list was meant to be unattainable! Even though it sounds silly, it tends to be invigorating and illuminating!

Today’s litany included yard work, cleaning the garage, scouring all the bathrooms, doing the wash, mopping the floor, walking dogs, and a host of other tasks. Starting with my dog walks gave me some time to prioritize and plan. After the Goldens had enjoyed their saunter by the river, I was ready to attack that list!

There is a certain joy in crossing off items on a list! It feels so good to draw a line through an accomplished task!

Yard work… check!

Bathrooms…check!

Floors cleaned… check!

And on and on!

All of a sudden, I had done a majority of the list!

Glancing at the remaining chores, it became apparent that I ignored the most onerous of jobs! Those can go on tomorrow’s “Not So Impossible List!” Of course, the Goldens will be at the top of that paper once again!

Now, I will look at that today’s “Impossible List” one more time and cross off the final accomplishments today! The rest will welcome me in the morning!

Lilly is just fine with this crazy plan as long as her walk is a priority!!!
