Day 1140

Today, Sammy and I did some training for class on our daily walk. As he was walking by my side, he did a beautiful demonstration of “come,” “stay,” “down” and a host of other commands to perfection! He is maturing before my eyes so slowly that I haven’t even noticed!

We are all a compilation of the experiences we have lived. Starting out as a veritable “blank slate," each interaction, every breath brings in new information that continually molds us into someone ever-so-slightly different. Humans are not static… they change each and every day!

Being fortunate enough to have a beautifully stable family as I grew up, it took a long time for me to realize that not everyone was so lucky. We were cherished and were fortunate to witness all types of kind acts and loving interactions. I soaked that in, along with feelings of security, great opportunities and the freedom to dream.

Now, as my inner self continues to mold into someone new each day, I realize that I get to pay it forward. All of those “life moments,” that I was lucky enough to embrace, have made me into someone who can share the kindness and love that was showered into my very being! We all can share the gifts we have that make us who we are!

Sam is just at the beginning of that sharing and he is going to offer so much to this world! Pouring positivity and love into that boy will continue to morph him into something special!!! It will be so exciting to see him shine!
