Day 1156

The Goldens know there is a thunderstorm out there somewhere! Although we humans have access to weather forecasts, our pups do not. Somehow they just KNOW…and are sticking close to their humans this afternoon.

We all have premonitions on our journey. Most of us simply ignore the feeling of impending change (good or challenging) while others embrace their gut level and react accordingly. In my life, I have acted on that little voice within. Not always choosing to be reactive, I still believe in those whispers inside our hearts or head and give them my attention.

There are times, when I am Therapy Dogging, that the soft voice literally shouts to get my attention! At the hospital, with our seniors or elsewhere, I always attempt to take the time for following my instincts. Most of those occasions prove that listening to that “little voice” soothes a heart in need. Of course, I am with the world’s best four-legged comforters!

Today, I will watch the weather, but really listen to my Goldens for storm updates! When it comes to storms, they should all receive “Meteorologist of the Year”
