Day 1218

Gus and I share a common dislike for thunder, garbage trucks, and mowers. After my mowing adventure, Gus greeted me with a relatable expression. I had just hit a rock and bent the mower blade, and we both wore the same frustrated face. Despite my best efforts to hammer and kick the blade back into shape, I had to admit defeat.

I've come to realize that machines aren't my forte. Vacuums, computers, phones – you name it, I've struggled with it. But instead of letting frustration get the better of me, I've learned to seek help and find creative solutions. Unplugging and replugging, or seeking expert advice, have become my go-to strategies.

I've also discovered that there are people in my life who are gifted with mechanical skills. While they may not always be available to bail me out, I've found that YouTube videos and online tutorials can be incredibly helpful. And when all else fails, I remind myself that I'm supporting local repair shops and contributing to my community's economy.

Today, Gus and I are united about our shared dislike of mowers. For him, the noise has stopped. For me, I just wanted a few more rows of LONG grass to disappear. Oh well, I am going to brighten the day of the mower repair person and that’s worth something!
