This boy was born to be a Therapy Dog…

He came into this world with a sweet disposition, calm demeanor and a heart of Gold. Ranger is a gift!

When I think of the people in my life, there are a few who would make great “Therapy People!” I believe they were, like Ranger, born that way. These individuals have a sweet disposition and exude calmness. They also have that heart of gold! These ”Therapy People” have one extra attribute that Ranger might lack… strength of character. There are few instances when their resolve is shaky. Ranger, on the other paw, would sell both brothers for a Milk Bone!

Holding that leash, I watched Ranger charm first-grade students this afternoon. Even charming a hesitant child who had never touched a dog before. He was at his best! I observe his natural ability to change lives, even if only for a moment, and envy the ease with which he changes the very atmosphere surrounding him. He truly is a gift!

So, for all of you “Therapy People” out there, please continue to let your sweet spirit shine and stay calm while the rest of us address life with nervous energy and concerns that keep us up at night. We need you and your Golden Heart!
