Day 1235

Our boy has a heart of “Gold!” This morning, Sam spent two full hours charming, entertaining and loving the people at Walker Senior Care. His signature move, paw on your lap, was added to the adoring look he bestowed upon each and every resident in his wake. Although still full of energy, he takes his job very seriously and never disappoints! He seems to love every moment!

I have had a few jobs in my life…

*taught piano

*worked as a librarian for summer school

*babysat

*taught elementary and college students

*wrote science curriculum for the district

*created test questions for the state assessments

…and a few more thrown in. I always tried to do my best, but my heart was more devoted to some over others. The jobs that were not as engaging were the ones that made me work more diligently to succeed. Those that meshed with what I loved to do went so much smoother!

Sammy, Gus and Ranger seem to love their Therapy Dogging with a passion and throw their entire being into each land every visit. We find success in doing what we love!

Now, as a retired “everything,” I get to choose what I love to do! When I get up, I often think instead of saying , “Today, I have to…” , I say, “Today, I GET to…”

Therapy Dogging is certainly one of those lovely choices!
