“It’s now or never!!”

“No more procrastination!”

With the help of the Golden Boys, who plopped right down at my feet, the living room tree needed to come down. For various reasons, it was time, but it was not half as much fun as putting it up! I forced myself to begin the job and, once started, knew it must be finished.

Normally, being the opposite of a procrastinator, taking holiday decorations down is painful. Their beauty, “light” in the darkest part of the year and the place this season holds in my heart all keep my plans at bay.

Procrastination is never a good thing. By virtue of the awaiting goals in question, they all tend to be things we should attend to. The dentist, that leaky pipe, a healthy diet or any other non-exciting purpose before us SHOULD be dealt with, but it’s easier to put it off until another day!

In the words of Whimpy (Popeye’s friend), “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!”

Oh well, sometimes you simply have to tackle those “opportunities” that are dreaded. At least, I was able to check it off my “To-Do List!”
