Day 1362

These two brothers LOVE television! They have been enthralled with the Olympics since they came home! Today, my plan was to leave one to continue his obsession while I took the other for a visit. For a number of reasons, that plan changed. I do not do well with a sudden change in plans. Grabbing Gus, I headed out and tried to shift my goals.

Being the kind of individual who needs a plan to feel comfortable with the steps ahead, removing an item on the list throws my equilibrium off. Loving lists, free-wheeling is not my forte. With all of my pups, commitments, and responsibilities, changes need to be carefully manipulated. When surprises happen, challenges arise.

Seemingly creating a roadblock, the opposite is true. Learning acceptance, openness to alternatives and pivoting are all qualities I need to hone. In any plan, there needs to be a willingness to follow a new path.

Gus was happy, people were happy and as I was as pleased as possible. Sam and Charlie will get their turn soon.
