Day 1383
Gus and I visited a senior living complex this morning and he created so much happiness. Smiles galore, hands reaching out to feel his soft fur and a connection between humans and dog…so evident to any observer. It was a lovely time and I know Gus would agree.
Whenever and wherever we visit, there are always moments of levity. Even in Memory Care, humor still exists and is appreciated by everyone involved. Today was no exception! As we entered, one of our favorites was right on our heels. Greeting her, I laughed aloud at the sentiment on her sweatshirt:
“I can only please one person per day.
Today is not your day.
Tomorrow doesn’t look good either.”
A few others joined in the laughter and everyone’s day suddenly looked brighter. Humor is truly a gift.
We discovered smiles, inside jokes, belly laughs and general happiness as we visited. For me, the humor lightened my day and even Gus was seen smiling. It was as a good day!
