Gus is a magnet to human hands. Whether it’s his soft coat or soulful expression, people flock to this boy! Today, at Walker, our second hour of visiting was no exception…. He ate it up!

There are humans in this world who have the “Gus Effect.” They walk into a room and people gravitate towards them. Analyzing this phenomenon, I have come up with three characteristics which attract others.

1. The person is inviting and full of wisdom.

2. The individual is entertaining.

3. The person is kind and loving.

Even though others characteristics may apply, these three are what draw me forward.

I have known wise individuals. Entertaining people have also pulled me in. However, it is the loving, kind folks that are in the spotlight for me. They not only offer kindness, but speak loving words about others. That is a gift.

Wise people are not always kind and entertainers can be sarcastic in their attempt at humor. Kind people have no downside. Point me in their direction!

Also…if you find a person who blends wisdom, humor and kindness together, hold them close. They are treasures. I know because I married one!
