Day 1440

“It’s mine!” “If it even looks like it used to be mine, it’s mine!” That is the message we witness each and every day in the world of Golden puppies!!!!!

Growing up in a home much like “Father Knows Best,” it always felt like we had everything we needed…not everything we wanted, but happiness reigned supreme. However, there were always those items belonging to others that were “wanted.” Not that envy ruled our lives, but there were certainly times when it crept into my heart.

Whether it was clothing, vacations or the newest toy, it was hard to push down the desire to have one for myself. Later, it was cars, homes, and family success. At that point, the little green monster was only a whisper. Gratitude was seeping in and taking over.

The longer the journey, the less envy robs you of contentment and joy. The real “things” that are now desired are family togetherness, health and happiness for loved ones. Envy never rears its ugly head.
