Day 1455
From the smallest of cages to the biggest we can muster, our two little boys are growing FAST! It happens without even realizing it day-to-day, but there is no stopping it!
Today, I had a LIST! One of the items I was anxious to check off was switching out the kennels due to the pups needing the biggest one we own. It affords Charlie and Hank more snuggle room and head room to boot. It is big enough for me to actually crawl in…which was lucky since it wouldn’t fold open as planned. Finally, after trying everything I could think of to loosen the cage’s grip, I crawled in and soon discovered two fuzzy pups as my “cage mates,” Licking my hands and curling around my arms and legs, my frustration turned to amusement and delight!
There have been times in my life when it would have been easier to just do it myself, but others wanted to “help." Remembering those days, my heart warmed immediately. Little hands helping make cookies, eager children wanting to help paint a wall, grubby little fingers helping me plant and so many more jobs that became beautiful memories because of the little helpers.
The cage is up (Thank you, Jimmy!) and a new memory was made…those sweet little Goldens just wanted to be part of the action!
