Day 1490

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! It is a special day at The Big White House as we celebrate Mr. Mac!

Now, I realize there are those who would raise an eyebrow if they heard conversations in our home. Known as Daddy and Mommy to our Golden Halo, we also have been known to have conversations with our pups…usually Ranger!

Ranger: “Bark, woof, grrrrr…”

Mommy: “Sweetheart, it not Tummy Time yet!”

Ranger: “GRRR… WOOF!”

Daddy: “ Ranger! You are four minutes early!”

Ranger: “RUFF! RUFF! GRRRUFFFF!”

Mommy: “OK! By the time we get the bowls ready, it will be exactly 8:20!”

These conversations are quite frequent. We do actually think of them as family and almost like children (toddlers). With Hank sitting in my lap right now, I began to realize we DO play the part of parents! Take Mac, for example…

*He provides them with food and shelter.

*He takes them to the doctor when they are sick.

*He always tries to make every effort to insure their comfort.

*He teaches and guides them.

*He supports their classes and Therapy Dogging.

*He is kind and loving to all five!

Good Daddy!

We often use our best parenting skills on our pups. Why not? They don’t talk back, they do as they’re told and they offer unconditional love!

Happy Father’s Day, once again! Whether your children have two legs or four, the Goldens send their love!
