Day 1552

Viewing the sun begin to set on a splendid Minnesota summer day, Gus just sits and breathes in the clean air as he watches over his domain. This is a Golden’s dream come true!

Minnesotans understand the absolute delight in these gorgeous days because we know what is coming! Having four very distinct seasons is refreshing. We always have the next one to look forward to as we enjoy the season we are in.

Summer warms our bones while fall brings breathtaking colors and crisp evenings around the fire pit. Winter (Most agree it could be a month or two shorter!) is our cozy time for family around the table and home baked delights. Spring brings hope.

Many times, when we have been fortunate enough to travel, others ask about the frigid cold of winter. I explain that Minnesotans take it in stride and bundle up for the snowy activities we love. They just shake their heads.

Tonight, Gus and I will cherish the perfect evening and not think too much about the cold days to come. After all, with the snow comes the cleanest Goldens of the year! Every day is a bath!
