Day 1568

This boy is a bed hog! Removing one kennel from our bedroom was necessary so that the puppies could have an extra-wide one for sleeping! (We connected two BIG kennels in the front hall.) Consequently, Gus moved smoothly from kennel to Mom and Dad’s bed in one Golden leap. We soon discovered that he takes his half out of the middle!

Off to the mattress store for a California king. What we won’t do for our boys! When it arrives, Sammy will join the group! (Ranger has multiple senior dog beds scattered around the room, but can usually be found on the bedroom couch.) When that plan is solid, we will bring Charlie and Sam upstairs to join us! Baby steps…

Moving slowly with small, incremental moves towards a goal is not my forte! Setting my sights on the end game, I move into high speed and adapt along the way. It works well in most circumstances, so I continue on that “no speed limit highway!”

There have been a couple of times when, after dismantling a room, I have regretted my hasty ways. However, once the destruction is before me, I have no other option but to organize and clean. My husband is the polar opposite in attacking a project. Having been an air traffic controller for years, he wants to calmly form a plan and execute in the proper step-by-step manner. My Energizer Bunny Self has to hop! Poor Mac!

So, we moved a bed out of the studio and it went to Asher! Our own bed will replace it when the new Golden Bed arrives! Let’s just say that the morning “extraction” of Asher’s queen bed was like a tsunami! Now, “The Bunny” must face what was left in her wake…the folly of my haste!

At least we will have a place for the boys to sleep! That goal was worth it!
