Day 1575

Day 1575. “Walking With Goldens”

Today there were many opportunities to head in a new direction. Seizing the moments that presented themselves has been productive and satisfying!

For example, after determining the rain might hold off for a bit, I sent the Halo out to the backyard for a short time. Coming back through their doggy door, it took me about three seconds to realize they had discovered a mud puddle! Holy Moly! Goldens, floors and walls were evidence that fun was had!

Grabbing a pile of bath towels, I asked for the first volunteer! Hank walked right into the shower and the “car wash” was underway! The four youngest marched in, received their “spa service” and headed off to finish drying after their rub down. (Ranger refused his shower, so we spot cleaned out eldest.) I also had the opportunity to clean the shower, bathtoom/kitchen/floors, walls and various other places showing mud.

Other “opportunities” led me in a wide array of directions! Lightbulbs have been changed, the house was vacuumed, a book shelf reorganized, a ceiling fan cleaned, furniture rearranged and wet clothes/towels neatly cleaned/folded. Don’t even ask about the garage!

Next time I want to accomplish a LOT, I will simply let the dogs out on a rainy day!
