Day 1611

This picture suddenly appeared on my phone this morning. I took it as another sign that Lilly and Ranger were together again. That made me smile.

Comfort comes in many forms. Pictures, cards, visits from friends, beautiful gifts and virtual hugs surrounding us. Dogs are the best beings walking this earth, but humans can take a close second. Humbled by such an outpouring of compassion, my belief in the goodness of people is high.

This past week has been challenging, but the people connecting with our hearts has helped beyond measure. Humans have the ability to individually make this world a better place, but often get too caught up with the minutia of life. Schedules, work, school, obligations and other “surprises” can get in the way of our human spirit and the goodness within. Over the last few days, I have felt the love and have been enveloped in a hug of compassion…there were no barriers to kindness.

It might seem that the humans in my world are becoming more dog-like every day. There is hope for the world yet!!!!
