Gus loves his Therapy Dog visits! Every moment seems to bring him joy. As he jumped out of the car today, I could almost hear his thoughts…

“Oh! I love this place!!!!

That grassy area has been used by a dog!!!!! Magic doors are so cool!!!! They just open without me waiting!

Ooh! Ohhh! I LOVE that Bethany person!

Behind the locked door are so many sleepy people to love!!!

Back out to the other, less sleepy people!

These friends have treats!!!!

Wait! I want to stay!!!! Go home???? Argh!!”

While Gus is rambling through his thoughts, his Mama is more concerned with Gus not tripping people, making people smile and keeping things out of his Golden mouth! However, I enjoy the conversations much more than the sniffs!

We all have our jobs and perceptions on these visits. It seems that I get more out of the meetings than the dogs… but now I am not sure! Perhaps the Goldens are more able to open their hearts and live in the moment!!!! Whatever the case, it seems to be a win for everyone!
