Day 1095

It’s “Moving Day” for our precious “Little Cabin!” Built in the early 1920s by my grandparents, it has had quite the life up on the shores of Pelican Lake. Today, it moved south to find its new home on Briggs Lake! Residing in the backyard, the Goldens will claim it as their own!

When my mom was a little girl, her family would tie their luggage to the running board of their car, pile in and head to Minnesota from Illinois. The first year or so, they would sleep in tents, but soon the Little Cabin was built to keep the family safe and warm. If it could only talk…

Today, as we watched the movers do their magic, one of the windows suddenly swung open on its hinges. We decided it was probably Grandma or Grandpa Closson taking a peek and whispering a few blessings our way!

Welcome home, Little Cabin! No more moves for you…only wonderful memories in the making!
