Day 1096

My Chief Editor (Mr. Mac) told me today is the ‘three year anniversary’ of “Walking With Goldens.” Initially, I only planned to write for a few days, so the longevity of the posts comes as a surprise to me. When I began, Sammy was not yet born and my ‘Golden Oldies’ ( Lilly and Ranger) only had a hint of white on their beautiful faces.

As I reminisce, I think back to the reconnections I have made with people from my past and the new friendships I have discovered. What a gift I have found in amazing people as I continue to write each day. It never seems to get old for me.

The most incredible thing is that I learn from the writing on a daily basis. I learn about humankind and the world around me. Most importantly, I grow as a person because of the journey I take each and every day into my heart. Learning about myself has helped me in unexpected ways. When you write, the honesty takes center stage and inner-growth happens.

The best part of writing is “Goldens” is bonding deeply with my Halo…each and every one. They have shared their gifts of love, devotion, spontaneity and so much more. Three years of being on the other end if the leash and I am the one who is truly blessed.
