Day 1098

These two senior Goldens are never far from each other. Lilly trusts Ranger a bit more than she finds comfort in Gus or Sam…especially Sam! Ranger simply seems to feel at home with his littermate. It is interesting to watch their choice of proximity to one another.

We all have those individuals in our lives who are trusted and provide comfort. We are understandably drawn to their presence, but the looming question is…”What characteristics are the lure”? That is nebulous at best!

Digging deeper, I believe I have discovered a few things that clarify the answer.

We are drawn to and trust…

*those who we can rely on without fail

*people who never purposefully hurt our feelings

*individuals who don’t belittle us

*those who listen and honor our thoughts

*cheerleaders

*people who genuinely care about us

In clarifying what draws me in, I was also able to set goals for myself. To be that person who is there for others can become a life mission for me. To be the trusted person for others is a true joy. After all, if I fall behind, I can take notes from my Golden Halo to move forward!
