Day 1099

Absolute chaos!!!!!

Today, we had the amazing plan to take all four Goldens into the veterinarian office to get flu shots…at the same time!!!! It seemed expedient! Beyond that, we had four 100 pound beasts who did NOT want to follow the plan! That poor technician!!

It made me reminisce about other beautiful ideas that did not go as planned.

*There was the time I decided to “save” our 100-year-old wall and use it as landscaping around the house. As the crew bulldozed it down, Mac and I scurried to save it. We were successful, but our backs have yet to recover!

*Deciding that Gus needed a puppy brother as a playmate…thus, leaving Lilly, Ranger and our bloodied hands alone. Welcome Sammy!

*Moving my grandparent’s cabin 80 miles south so it could have a new home with us. The movers were angels, gentlemen and patient humans!!! On a wing and a prayer, it made it!

So many plans look good on paper or in the imaginings of our minds and hearts. Although they turn out differently than the “written script,” they all seem to come to fruition and often create a wonderful memory as well!

So today, the Goldens received their vaccines (with a couple unplanned heart worm tests thrown in for good measure)! We are now safe and sound on the front porch and thankful everything turned out fine… just like most of our adventures! Dream big, set a course and, no matter what stormy seas tumble you this way and that, adapt-overcome and enjoy every journey!
