Day 1183

Miss Lilly loved every moment of being an “Only Child” at the cottage. Lots of love, resting with a view and even deciding a bowl of spaghetti tasted pretty good. We are keeping her close and letting her make all the decisions.

Today was no exception. My “Life’s Too Short” group gathered for a day ‘lakeside’ and Lilly was often found in their midst. Gathering as much love as she needed and then falling asleep on someone’s feet was how she chose to spend her day.

Seven lovely educators gathered to join me and celebrate decades of friendship with laughter and love. I marveled at how well we knew each other…our families, health issues, travels, adventures and life journeys. We have been there for each other more times than I can count. What a gift!

Looking at my “Halo of Goldens” surrounding me as I write, I sense their connectedness to each other and their humans. The bonds of these beloved connections are immeasurable in their depths. Whether family, friends or a “Halo of Goldens,” each one is a treasure. Nurture these connections with time and love. You won’t regret it!
