Day 1184

This boy has a stubborn streak a mile long! It’snot a mean streak… he just wants what he wants!

We were visiting Mercy today and decided to stop in the administration office. There, Ranger was the recipient of much love and a few treats. When it was time to leave, he braced those big paws and refused to budge. One of the secretaries asked if he was the one who needed an “exit treat?” Nodding to her, she proceeded to lure him out with a morsel. Stubborn.

The word “stubborn” has such negative connotations, but I think it might have been judged prematurely. I often see stubbornness as tenacity. Tenacious individuals often make things happen and accomplish great tasks!

I have been called tenacious by more than one person and I wear it as a badge of honor. Today, however, I was just plain stubborn. Seeing a break in the weather, I headed outside to mow a portion ov the yard. Before I knew it, only the boulevard remained and I was “spent!” Gritting my teeth, I started “the last hurrah!” Immediately, I ran out of gas. By now , I was feeling sorry for myself, but it was my own choice to finish!

I guess Ranger and I have a bit in common! However, he is 100% stubborn and I try to lean towards tenacity…hopefully, my sweet husband would agree!
