Day 1186
This morning was one for the books! Along with a number of huge issues close to my heart (all ended well), this little grand-puppy need a big medical intervention! She was seen and then endured oxygen, a shot, RX (steroids and antibiotics) AND a nebulizer! Whew! I sat and watched this parade of treatments with that sweetie in my lap. We did get to bring her home…even when we were not sure of the outcome when we entered. What a morning!
Upon returning to my own “Halo of Goldens,” I declared that I was going to go outside and pull some weeds! After feeding the four of them and offering some love, I headed out to pull some ungrateful plants!
What is it about yard work that soothes the soul? Beautification aside, I simply like the “control” of pulling out the stickers and other unwanted greenery. When it is all done, the feeling of viewing a garden bed with NO weeds is gratifying!
Today, I had little control over loved ones and medical issues, electric bikes that shot around a corner during dog walking or the weather! I did manhandle a weed or two and that felt like I had a bit of power returning to my life. When the world starts spinning, a little bit of control to affect an outcome is a relief!
So… gratitude flowing for healthy loved ones, no rain on my walks and no collisions with electric bikes! It has really been a great day!
