Privacy is overrated, according to my Golden Boys! Wherever I am, they are as well. There was a time when I attempted to control the situation, but that ship sailed a long time ago! Now, everyone is welcome. Even though “alone time” is not to be, the doors are maintaining more of their paint!

Being alone is not something I crave… in fact, I typically choose to surround myself with loved ones. However, there are prople in my life who need their “alone time” to function. They need to recharge after any social interaction. A large gathering may take days for the person to gather their strength for the next outing. For us social butterflies, we must dig deep for empathy!

During the Holiday Season, it seems important to honor those who find some of the events to be a bit trying. I, for one, will be cognizant of their needs. Sometimes, letting people know you care might look like giving them space and permission to simply take some time off! Perhaps, sending a quiet Golden their way might just be the answer!!!
