Day 1364
Patience is in high demand at The Big White House these days! For example, take last night…
12:30 a.m. after a romp around the house, the Disney piano music sets the stage for sleepy babies.
4:15 a.m. puppy clocks say it’s morning. Rolling off the couch, I head over to share some love. In their excitement, they knock the water dispenser over and it empties on the floor AND my slippers!
4:30 a.m. bring on the coffee!
6:30 a.m. the rest of the crew heads downstairs and I finally get to put on dry socks and shoes (Mac! I know a bit about that feeing you talk about in the jungles of Vietnam…just a bit!)
Gus: The pups believe he is their mama and try to nurse!
Sam: Their chosen playmate! There on no escape!
Ranger: He simply resides in a doorway and gets trampled as the pups race through the house!
Mac: Bless this man over and over. He supports, loves and puts up with the craziness! He is truly one in a million!
As for the mama of the Halo: Patience might be my forte, but lack of sleep diminishes that quality. When I feel a sigh of impatience emerging, I just look at those little gifts and smile. They are truly precious.
Nurture or nature, our ability to dig into our reserve of patience is a gift we give to those we love. Charlie and Hank are being SHOWERED with gifts!!!!!
