Day 1404

Every morning is like the “Mad Minute” at The Big White House! Starting our day before 6 a.m., there is a routine and regimen to our steps. Typically, it all flows smoothly. Sometimes, when one thing goes wrong, it is like dominos falling in a line.

Our Wake-up:

*Alarm

*Throw clothes on

*Slink downstairs so puppies stay sleeping

*Grab dog food bowls

*Open kennel and feed pups.

*Take pups out the doggy door

*Get pups in the diggy door

*Big Three clamber downstairs

*Big guys out

*Big guys in

*Feed Ranger, Gus and Sam

*Fill water bowls

*RX to dogs

*peanut butter infused bones

*Cheerio Extravaganza (all scramble for a handful)

*Human needs met…COFFEE!!!!!

This morning, sweet Asher was not quite awake and a bit teary when he entered some time around “Big guys out and in”. While soothing my grandson’s angst, I inadvertently handed Sam his brother’s thyroid medicine. Add a call to our vet! By now, I was in a full sweat! Mind you, dear Mac is right beside me doing his share like a short order cook! Whew…

I needed to put the breaks on to slow the avalanche down, but it felt like I was going down a tube slide at a water park with no way to slow anything. So, I just sat down and took a few deep breaths. That helped…along with “kind husband words" and a brief neck rub.

Everybody ate and “pottied.” Asher was happy. There were more Cheerios in the pantry. The vet called and said all will be well with our Sam.

And…Mac made coffee! Life is good!
