Day 1425

Spending more time with Sammy is a priority right now. He is having a little trouble sharing the spotlight with Charlie and Hank. Sitting by the door, looking forlorn, he watches the puppies fly around the house with eyes of confusion. He eventually joins in, but his heart isn’t in it. Poor Buddy…he seems to miss being the “puppy of the house!” That is why, to his shock and delight, he was my Therapy Dog choice for Norbella AND there was a stop at Dairy Queen for a pup cup! He almost smiled!

Everyone needs to feel special now-and-then. We can walk the path of life for a long time, accomplishing goals, performing job duties, checking off “to-do lists” and tending to family needs. Eventually our tanks run close to empty and we need to refuel our hearts. That often comes from others offering kind words or gestures. We all need those people in our lives. I am blessed with some of the best!

Don’t be afraid to go out and make the world a better place, but be open to others who are there to support you. My gratitude runs deep for my “support team.”

As for Sammy, he will get by with a little extra love, attention and time…those puppies won’t be little and cute forever!
