Day 1434
When I cook or bake in the kitchen, I have an entourage of sous chefs at my feet! The challenges are many in regard to stepping over paws and opening cupboards, but the benefits far outweigh the negatives! Not only is there an aura of love in the room, but the floor remains clear of crumbs and spills!
The kitchen has truly is the heart of homes I have loved…
My Nanny was always baking up something and her breadboard was constantly cooling some delicacy!
My Grandma Lois had a little “nook” by her stove where we would eat warm, fresh oatmeal bread.
Our dear neighbor, Elaine, had a kitchen booth where my kids would share their amazing lunch when she was our beloved day-care provider.
My “second mom,” Marge, always had fresh “somethings” coming out of the oven and never said “NO” to her daughter (Marlene) and me digging in to the latest delicacy.
This list could go on for a long time, but suffice it to say kitchens have always been beloved in my heart.
So carrying that love forward, I spend quite a bit of time in our own kitchen. I love to bake and cook when the chance arises. It must be both nurture and nature that directs my feet there. I simply love to feed people!!!
The Goldens just want to be close, but if something drops, it vanishes in an instant!!!!
