Day 1461

Taking a quick “escape day” to celebrate our 19th Anniversary! Jimmy offered to stay with our Halo, so off we went! We miss them like crazy!

Up in Duluth, dogs are everywhere! Shops and hotels welcome them, so we are surrounded by incredible four-legged friends. It is so fun to people/dog watch!

From my observations, tall people have big dogs while the shorter the stature, the smaller the pup. The little guys are encased in the cutest jackets, while the big guys fend for themselves in the cold. I am sure my five would love every pup, store and boat horn!

People love their dogs up here…that is a fact.
If you ask the breed, you will hear lineage, age, temperament and anything else that comes to mind. I am the same…

Gus? Yes, he’s a field golden! They are bred for hunting, but this boy is afraid of his shadow. He is a Therapy Fog and we go to… (5 minutes of gushing)…he is the sweetest boy.”

I can talk all about my pups forever and then the phone comes out to share pictures. Perhaps I am insufferable, but nobody seems to mind. I prattle on as they soak in the Golden charm!

Dogs…we really don’t deserve them.
