Day 1474
This was a day of endings and beginnings. Asher’s last day of second grade…
His first End of School Year Pool party…
Charlie and Hank’s first visit to the cottage.
Our last Therapy Dog visit to Norbella…
Soaking up every moment was surreal. Watching Asher walk into the school heading towards third grade brought, what he would call, “wet eyes” for Nanny. Another ending was Norbella where changes have helped us move on to other venues. It was hard to walk out that door.
On the bright side, the Pool Party was a massive success! What a great way to end the year. Every single child was smiling! Also, watching the puppies lose their minds at the cottage brought so much joy! The smells, sights and adventure seemed boundless to them!
Endings lead to beginnings whether we want them to or not. So, as I did today, dry those “wet eyes” and embrace the new beginnings with abundant enthusiasm… just like kids and puppies!
