Day 1500

My Golden Boys certainly have different personalities! As some look at the camera, they all show their inner self. One is intent on potential treats; one is full of love. Another is questioning while one is nervous and the last is dreaming of wonderful adventures. Pups are not that different from our children.

My four certainly have common traits, but one shows complete independence, another seeks wild adventures, one has a heart as big as all outdoors while another oozes creativity. Luckily, they are all good citizens of the earth and make this world a better place!

Today marks the first time in over 40 years that all of my children have flown out of the nest. After they grew up in The Big White House, there was college and a few adventures, but someone always returned to the nest…even for short stays. Although it is a natural progression, my “Mommy Heart” is a bit sad.

Living in this home, there will always be memories and echoes of their laughter, discussions, music games, parties and other events. Excited for their lives now, it is nice to be caretaker of their memories within these walls.

So Mr. Mac and I march forward with our new “four-legged children." It won’t be any quieter, but the energy is still wonderful! I am so thankful for the journey!
