Day 1516
It was one of those mornings…
*Sweet Asher arrived at 6:30 for the day!
*A technician arrived to work on the air-conditioning shortly after that.
*Our friend, Tom, came over to put a bed together.
Now this sounds manageable, but add five dogs and an eight-year-old to the mix and things begin to get a bit “hairy”…
*We needed to secure the dogs from various rooms/doors and people.
*Outside access for their potty time had to be monitored due to tools and open gates.
*Questions from the technician needed immediate answers.
Of course, my role seemed to be “Ringmaster” of the circus! The only time I dropped the ball was when Ranger, who had been barking incessantly, decided that he could not wait to use the yard, but the living room carpet would work just fine! Yikes!
We made it, and I learned something about myself. Taking these crazy times in stride and showing little to no visible angst kept everyone else moving smoothly. Even Ranger almost looked pleased with himself when I told him., “No worries! It could happen to anyone!”
“Be like a duck…stay calm on the surface, but paddle like crazy underneath!”
