Day 1517

Sammy loves his Mama, but there are one or two others he adores! One is our son-in-law, Jon, and another is Jimmy’s girlfriend, Bethany. Now, I would be jealous, but I love them too. I have tried to analyze the exact formula that is so enticing to our boy, but it’s nebulous. With their different attributes, I can only come up with one shared characteristic that really stands out… they both exude their own brand of love. Sammy is drawn to that and can’t resist them!

There have been people who draw others into their circle. Some are so entertaining that the “fun factor” is the lure while others have wisdom and gather people that way. My favorites are those with the lure of that nebulous, loving aura. I know a number of them and feel so blessed to be right there.

An expression, the knowledge that they would drop everything and come to help and their actions… which light the way for the Sams of this world.

There are others in my life who fit the mold as well. They simply make me want to be close. Those individuals truly light up a room by being themselves.

If you are not sure about someone, let them meet your dog! They will pick a winner every time!
