There are many things that bring me joy! At the top of that list you would find faith, family (dogs fit here), friends, The Big White House, the cottage, Disney and Christmas! How can you avoid happiness when surrounded by these?

At The Big White House, no matter what the season, there are ALWAYS Christmas trees to be found! At our cottage, you would find the same tradition.

In the living room at Briggs, we have a small Christmas tree that is adorned with the typical “Up North” decorations. In addition, our dear Amanda gifted us with glass hearts with the names and pictures of all the dogs we have ever loved etched on them. These treasures have found various places of honor, but it seemed fitting that they head north for their “furever” home. The tree is lit when we are lucky enough to be in this place of abundant calm and beauty. Our Golden Boys love it here and our other beloved dogs (Becky, Molly, Mickey, Rosie, Oreo, Arthur, Nicky and dear Lilly) have all loved being at the lake.

Surrounding ourselves with reminders of joy is a soothing, visceral happiness. Why not place beloved keepsakes around that provided us with beautiful memories and thoughts of our favorite things?!
