Day 1538

After a brief walk down to the lake, I returned to my Golden Halo (Ranger was in the window.) watching my every step! What an amazing feeling, deserved or not, to be loved that way. Of course, the feeling is mutual, but it reminded me that we are their world.

We certainly have that devotion for family and other loved ones, but it tends to get diluted with the hustle and bustle of our frantic days. There are chapters in life when you have more time for undivided attention, but most of our books contain stories that need so much energy/focus that loved ones take a back seat. Our feelings are that they will always be there when we have time…hmmmm…

When Asher was little, my devotion and time were focused on that small spirit. When we were together, the world faded away. These days, my chapters of life allow for that devotion to continue to thrive. For Asher and other loved ones, my life has a welcome mat. Funny…his life is taking on so many other “opportunities” that he needs to fit ME in! That is as it should be! Our time together is even more precious!

Make the time. Cherish the “memory-making” and know when to prioritize those loved ones. It is a win-win for all! Now, I think I will go find my boys and do some ear-scratching!
