Day 1573
Day 1573. “Walking With Goldens”
Random Acts of Kindness are always a surprising gift that are made more special due to the fact that we do nothing to deserve them. Sitting on the deck with my Halo, I can recall a few that have warmed my heart.
One day, Asher’s electric jeep broke down a few blocks from The Big White House. Planning on calling the “Papa Posse”, we were suddenly joined by an older man who offered to take a look. Little did we know, he had a collection of antique cars, so he was an expert! Random Acts…
At a particularly difficult parent/teacher conference for my twins (I was pretty new to the single parent life.), I sat down in one of the two offered chairs and faced three middle school teachers. Suddenly, the twin’s incredible band teacher slipped into the vacant chair next to me and, holding a jar of Hershey’s chocolates said, “Anybody want a kiss?”. Love that man! Random Acts…
Last night at the Palmer House, a young family sat near our table. Three adorable children and two loving parents were a joy to behold. Mac, who often gives dollar coins to kids for their piggy banks, walked over and chatted while he passed out the tokens. Later, we discovered the family paid for our dinner. Random Acts…
We now are friends with “Bob the Car Guy”, continue to adore our dear band director and hope to continue a relationship with the beautiful, young family. Random Acts can last a lifetime! I think I might just sneak in a couple myself!
