Day n1259
Our three Golden Boys never leave anyone out. They include and accept each other without question. There has never been a time when two ganged up on the other or shunned one…NEVER! What wonderful role models for us all.
In the human world, three can be a challenging number. As a child I experienced the feeling of being excluded, while teaching I observed many tears in a trio of students and as an adult, there have been times…
As groups of three interact, it seems to be set up for failure. If there is a decision to be made or a direction to head, it will often be 2 against one. It is simply designed that way. However, a group of three is a great practice zone for compromise and empathy. As an educator, it was one of my best tricks. If you can guide an interaction between a trio of little learners, it is a breeding ground for incredible personal growth.
My three boys are such amazing role models for successful trios. Perhaps their secret deals with their lack of desire to dominate. Winning is not part of their vocabulary. They simply want to be near each other and bark together. That sounds like a win/win for them (and maybe all of us)!
